Mitsubishi evolved the DLP 3D TV even further, by announcing new family of products with the two leaders – the 92″ 3DTV set and the set with the world purest colors – the LaserVue. In addition, exceptionally well implemented LCD with LED backlight technologies were exhibited, combined with a 3D sound technology in a very thin panel package – Immersive Sound. They have also shown a huge 155″ OLED panel, proving that they have a handle on that technology as well. The DLP is ideal 3D display technology for it’s exceptional switching speed taking place in micro-seconds, as compared to LCD mili-seconds, resulting in less smear, cross talk, and other undesirable artifacts. The LaserVue is the combination of LCD technology and laser light source, resulting in exceptional picture quality, purest color available, and amazingly low energy consumption. That one is my current favorite.
